Comparing Platelet Rich Plasma and Keralase Laser Treatment
Is PRP for Me?
Whether caused by genetics, illness or age, hair loss in men and women can be devastating. Fortunately, there are several cutting-edge treatments now available to help people regenerate what has been lost. One option gaining popularity is Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP. PRP requires multiple plasma injections into the scalp to promote hair growth. Unfortunately, PRP can be extremely painful and it produces varying success. The healing and regeneration factor is different in every person depending on health, age, dietary habits, exercise levels and medication intake.
Keralase Laser Treatment: A Pain-free Alternative
A recently released laser-based treatment offers a much more comfortable alternative. KeraLase uses a two-step approach to hair loss treatment. It causes less pain, requires less treatment time, and produces more predictable results when compared to PRP hair treatments.
How Keralase Works:
Keralase combines two effective therapies into one treatment for incredible results:
- Lutronic Ultra laser treatment
- KeraFactor® serum application
The laser helps to pre-condition the scalp by “opening” the channels of the hair follicles, making them more receptive to the highly concentrated KeraFactor serum. Working in tandem, these technologies encourage more, thicker hair by revitalizing follicles through which growth occurs, increasing the diameter of each strand, and bolstering the number of hairs per unit area. In fact, studies indicate that the Lutronic Ultra Laser can help improve hair thickness by 77%.
The Keralase Treatment:
Most clients will require a series of 6 treatments, with a spacing of 3-4 weeks between each. The treatments only take about 10 minutes or less per treatment session. And after your treatment is complete, you can immediately resume your normal daily routine with no downtime.
Hair improvement should continue for 12-18 months. To maintain your fuller looking hair, experts recommend repeating one 20 minute session every 12-18 months.
